The EG4 36K Hybrid Multizone outdoor unit (model DW4E1-ACDC-36KR2) is a DIY-friendly whole-home heating and cooling system. It runs on direct solar DC, 240V AC, or a blend of both, always using solar first, so it keeps working efficiently whether or not the grid is up. It drives up to four indoor heads to heat or cool up to about 2,000 sq. ft. The included pre-charged line sets need no special tools, and pre-charged extensions can stretch runs past 100 ft.
